Chainlings exist in our world as NFTs and are charmed (by minting or trading) into your blockchain wallet, where they build their home. They will then work (stake) or play (play to earn) while returning shiny things they find ($BLING) - like a loving pet leaving a present at your doorstep. BLING can then be spent on Chainling activities, upgrades, or trading that returns a portion of BLING back as community rewards, charitable giving, and to the dev team for further development and growing the Chainlings Universe. The idea behind Chainlings is to create a simple way to visually represent you between games, universes, and other assets by leverage blockchain technology, while having fun and earning you additional assets (coins, tokens, NFTs, etc.). Here's an example. Think of your favorite video game character - let's take Mario for example (we're not affiliated with them in anyway, this is just an example). Everyone knows that mustached guy and what he looks like. He comes out in a bunch of different games too: platformers, go-karts, golf, and many others! Well what if you owned your own, notable character? Your very own Mario. ### Well you can! That's Chainlings. You own it, a unique character, that you take from game to game - but it's always you. We believe the metaverse will be a bridged, interoperable collection of experiences that span multiple blockchains and digital properties; Chainlings will be set up in a way to be bridged and connected by starting simple for easier migration. Given the beauty of blockchains and web3, it is possible, with all the security that blockchains provide and other benefits too - like earning you coin! How? Well a few ways, there will be staking rewards (parking your Chainling), lending rewards (letting others borrow your Chainling to play and sharing the rewards), play to earn rewards, and that's just to start. We really want to make it easy for you to have fun, earn, and bring a simple character from game to game to still look like you, no matter where you go and so even if the hype dies down from a certain world - well you and your character live and earn on! We are also advocates of decentralization and empowering the community to build into the Chainling universe and will aim to provide tools and incentives to make that happen. The spark that initiated the blockchain, the Genesis Spark, brought about their existence. Most Chainlings have a great amount of gratitude for whoever secures the blockchain and allows for their safe environment. ### The Emergence Knowing that there is more to their world, Chainlings seek to explore the land of their creators and interact with other blockchains, games, and assets. Their curiosity is boundless; though, they are cautious and trained a small elite force to emerge from the blockchain first and pave the way for other brave Chainlings to follow after them. The first wave of ELITE gallantly emerge, the EXPLORERs will follow soon thereafter and reinforce the first wave. They know they will need more help and look to the outside world for that. ### The Great Charming Finding a way out of the blockchain, Chainlings are lured out of their homes and partner with Charmers who commit to them by pledging native tokens that resonate with and warm the Chainlings. For a strong, but brief moment, native tokens makes them feel like back home, even though they know they are now in dangerous, unexplored lands. Charmers, like you, support them outside their native lands and in exchange, Chainlings offer trinkets they find while out exploring. They are unaware of what is valuable to their Charmer companions, so they collect anything that seems shiny and good - generalized as Chainling Bling. ### The Remarkable Adventure Each Chainling is unique. Looks, traits, and personalities - you build the story for them - meaning while normally goodwill at birth, they may not all have the best intentions. The mysterious zipper tab allows Chainlings to "Cling" and capture other objects, items, or creatures - quite interesting.\ \ **๐Ÿ”ฌ Some** Chainlings have unique facial features (faccents), like blush, freckles, and scars.\ \ **๐Ÿ”ฌ Rarely** Chainlings arrive with head gear they've found on their way to you, but it's super cute when they do!\ \ **๐Ÿ”ฌ Very rarely** a Chainling finds a companion (pet) that follows them around - they're all so freakin' adorable!\ \ **๐Ÿ”ฌ** In **extremely rare** cases, a Chainling has an aura about them, you can feel their presence and identify it just by looking at them - how magnificent! ## **Metadata Only Traits** There will be random generated **skill scores** that can be leveraged as in-game stats, and unique **traits** that can help further personalize your Chainlings once it enters a game. These will be optional metadata developers can use as they bring Chainlings into their universe. Think of them as base stats, that should be used as a starting point across gains for your characters. Skill: Range 1-10. While we feel 10 should be the highest value, but really its up how developers integrate these into their games. These typically would be tied to in-game stats. Traits: Range A-E. Our vision for these don't include any priority and should all be equally weighted. Think of them as options for backstories, classes, guilds, factions or other flavor items that give character or categorize the players.
